The Lady Panthers hosted the Blackhawks of Leslie Thursday night and were victorious by a score of 46 – 18. Stockbridge jumped out to a commanding 15-2 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. “Tonight we played with more energy and emotion than I have seen all season. We have been working on becoming more aggressive and the ladies took a huge step forward in those areas tonight. I have really enjoyed watching these young ladies improve as the season continues. I am excited to see how it will conclude,” stated Coach Hejnal. Kaylee Dalton led the team in scoring with 10 points, while Hailee Fraser-Gutting and Madi Mazuca each added 8. Paige Wooden had 6. Peyton Killinger, Tyler Showerman, Jordan Myers, Ori Hackworth, Molly Nichols, and Sylvia Whitt all added points as well. Stockbridge’s record now stands at 9-4 overall and 6-1 in the GLAC. Next week the Panthers have a pair of nonconference clashes as they travel to Fowlerville on Tuesday and host Dexter on Thursday.
