Stockbridge Police responded to the following complaints this week:

12/04/2017 4:10: The Stockbridge Police Department was dispatched to the 4000 block of E. Main Street in response to a mail carrier advising that they heard someone screaming in distress at this location. The mail carrier then left. Police arrived and discovered that a 77 yrs old male Stockbridge resident had fallen in his garage and couldn’t get up. The male said that he had been yelling for help for over 2 hours. Police with the assistance of SAESA ambulance personnel gained entry into the locked garage and aided the resident. The male was treated at the scene by paramedics and declined transport to a hospital for further care.
12/07/2017 6:00 pm: Stockbridge Police were asked by the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office to respond to a Car vs Deer traffic crash on M-52 near Dexter Trail. The driver, a 50 yrs old Chelsea resident, was uninjured and only sustained minor vehicle damage.
12/7/2017 5:00 pm: Police received a late report of a Disturbing the Peace incident that occurred on 12/1/2017 at the Heritage Elementary School during an after school event. Police are still investigating this incident.
12/09/2017 10:20 pm: Stockbridge Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Wood Street near W. Main Street for the vehicle intentionally doing doughnuts. The driver, a 19 yrs old male Stockbridge resident, was found to be in possession of marijuana. The marijuana was confiscated and the driver was cited for the marijuana violation and given a written warning for the careless driving.
12/10/2017 6:15 pm: Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign on Bird Drive near M-52. The driver, a 39 yrs old male Grass Lake resident, was found to be operating his vehicle with a suspended license. The male was cited and he and his vehicle were turned over to valid drivers.
12/11/2017 1:00 pm: Police responded to a private property damage traffic accident at the Stockbridge Township Hall. The driver, a 28 yrs old Mason resident, backed his work truck into a parking space and had a collision with a decorated light pole. No injuries were reported and the driver made contact with the Township Hall to repair any damages to the light pole.
