“It’s been great having Louis on the board,” said outgoing President Chuck Wisman (left), as he presented Louis with a gold bell in appreciation of his many contributions.

Last night at October’s quarterly meeting of the Stockbridge Area Educational Foundation, two of its long-term directors, Larry
Krummrey and Louis Salow announced that they will step down, effective January 1. Both received gold bells for their many years of service.

Secretary Larry Krummrey, instrumental in the Foundation’s formation sixteen years ago, commented, “I’ll be around. It’s been a great ride from the days of passing the hat.”

Salow, the Foundation’s long-standing treasurer, smiled knowingly because he and Krummrey both plan to continue in their support of the Foundation’s annual Festival of Tables, slated for March 25, 2017 at Heritage Elementary. Their wives, Caitlyn Salow and Mary Krummrey, will continue in their unflagging efforts as well.

“It’s been great having Louis on the board,” said outgoing President Chuck Wisman, soon to become Vice President, as he presented Louis with a gold bell in appreciation of his many contributions. “Louis has dedicated nine years of incredible service to the SAEF and its Festival of Tables.”

In presenting a bell to Krummrey, Wisman shook his head in awe. “The things Larry came up with for funding brought in thousands, the raffle at the festival especially.” Krummrey’s tireless outreach to vendors and supporters is widely recognized as nothing short of herculean.

Effective January 2017, new SAEF officers include President Jennifer Hammerberg, Vice President Chuck Wisman, and Treasurer Lyn St. Dennis.
