After an absence of approximately 15 years the Stockbridge Festival Chorus returned under the direction of Kristi Stevens with Carol Hatch in accompaniment on Saturday, November 18 at the Stockbridge Township Hall. Both Ms. Hatch and Ms. Stevens, mother and daughter, are public school musical directors. Hatch, with Stockbridge Community Schools for 18 years, is a previous director of the Stockbridge Festival Chorus. Stevens has been with Grass Lake Community Schools for six years.

The Chorus featured 14 enthusiastic and talented singers, 12 ladies and two gentlemen. A near capacity crowd had the opportunity to hear many of the Chorus members highlighted as soloists in addition to their group presentations.

Applause from children and adults of all ages expressed hearty appreciation to the Stockbridge Area Arts Council (SAAC) and the leadership of President Nancy Taylor for sponsoring the event and returning the Festival Chorus tradition to the community.

A crowd gathers for the Stockbridge Festival Chorus Holiday Concert 2017.

The Festival Chorus poses for a photo after the concert.
