The two sheep on the run since August are on the lam in a farm field in their favorite hangout on the corner of Catholic Church Road and Chapman Road. As SCN reported on Dec. 13, 2019, Bo and Peep, as people in the area have nicknamed them, can be found behind a barn with cows in the field.

Stockbridge resident Becki Terrell told WLIX in Dec. 2019, “I see them every day. They’ve kind of have become a legend. Everyone looks after the sheep.”

The sheep owner, Ded Gjoiaj, lives part time in the area. Apparently, they escaped his farm area, and the coyotes that chased them. He told WLIX in December that several family members have tried on numerous occasions to catch them. The elusive ruminants have also stymied Animal Control.

Bo and Peep periodically seek respite on area roads and in yards and farm fields. Who is feeding them? How are they receiving food now that winter has arrived? Residents in the area continue to express concern for their wellbeing.

Though the freedom-loving mammals’ wool coats appear thick and matted, local residents have noted on Stockbridge Mi Area News & Info’s Facebook page, the sheep are “looking fat, happy and very healthy.”

So if driving country roads, BOLO—be on the lookout for fugitive fleece, Bo and Peep.
