Boys’ XC Wins P-W Fall Classic. Girls Second.

The cross country teams had strong showings at the Pewamo-Westphalia Fall Classic Saturday with the boys bringing home the title while the girls finished second.

The boys finished with 53 points, beating out the GR Chariots of Fire Home School with 71.

Dalton Satkowiak finished fourth in 17:23 to lead the Panthers.

Micah Bolton was 10th in 18:00 and Collin Cook 11th in 18:03. Ben Chapman came home 13th in 18:24, Ryan Owen 15th in 18:30, Brock Jones 22nd in 18:51, and Brandon Howlett 41st in 20:08.

The girls finished with 65 points, 15 behind Pewamo Westphalia. P-W is a team that many think the Panthers will battle at the Regional for a spot in the State Finals.

Rylee Tolson ran away from the field to finish first with a time of 18:47. She was nearly two minutes faster then the second place runner.

Brooklyn Rochow continues to impress in her first year of cross country coming home in 5th place in 21:21.

Brianna Hill finished 19th in 22:28, Kaitelyn Walker 20th in 22:31, Julianna Debozy set a PR with a 25th place finish in 23:11, Joy Youngblood 39th in 25:54, and Peyton Killinger 48th in 28:26.

The teams are off until September 22 when they travel to Lakewood for the first GLAC jamboree of the season.
