We are excited to be welcoming back Bruce Brown to the district.  He has stepped back in as interim superintendent for Stockbridge Community School District.  This is due to current Superintendent Karl Heidrich leaving. Brown was the long term superintendent  for Stockbridge Community Schools, and retired about 7 years ago.

Carrie Graham Board of Education President stated, “Mr. Brown has graciously accepted the invitation to become our interim superintendent. He will begin on Monday, October 26, 2020.”

Graham has contacted Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) to restart their search for a new superintendent. This board performs executive search services to help boards of education find a new superintendent.  The Board of Education will begin meeting with MASB in December.  According to Graham, “the search will begin again in the first of the year.”

The Stockbridge community breathes a sigh of relief that Brown has stepped in and continues to provide superior leadership for our school district. Welcome back Mr. Brown!
