After a one-year hiatus, the Stockbridge Area Genealogical/Historical Society’s very popular cemetery tour returned October 9th for several portrayals of Stockbridge area residents by local actors. Two presentations of the tour accommodated individuals who may have experienced difficulties walking through the cemetery grounds.
Between 4:00 and 4:45 PM, walking tours began at Oaklawn Cemetery near the veterans’ flagpole. A golf cart was on hand at the 4 PM tour to assist people who found the walking difficult. At 6:00 PM the same characters presented in the Stockbridge Methodist Church. In this second presentation, the actors used a microphone, and audience members remained comfortably seated throughout all character portrayals. These presentations were free of charge; donations accepted.
