    On Sunday, March 1, St Mary Men’s Club in Pinckney will be hosting our monthly “Country Style Breakfast”, at the Parish located south of M-36 at 10601 Dexter Pinckney Road in Putnam Township. Breakfast is served 8:30 until 11am and is a free-will donation. Proceeds will be used to help support the maintenance of our Parish kitchen. We have the best menu in the area which includes: fried or scrambled eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, French toast, pancakes, quiche, ham, pork sausage, our renowned “waffle station” and new to the menu Breakfast Burritos! Main Street in Manchester, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.  Senior Fit is a FREE exercise program for people age 55 and over that encourages senior adults to exercise their way to a healthier lifestyle.  The program features standing and chair exercises that build strength and flexibility, as well as improve balance and cardiovascular fitness.

    Help Outreach turn hotcakes into help for your neighbors! Stockbridge McDonald’s is generously donating $2 of every $2.50 ticket sold for the All-You-Can-Eat delicious hotcake supper being held this Thursday, March 5 from 4 to 7 p.m.

    One dollar spent by Outreach at the Greater Lansing Food Bank allows them to buy over $4 worth of food. This food is then distributed to area residents in need. In addition to food, Outreach helps those who qualify with transportation, housing, utilities, prescriptions and more. In 2019, Outreach spent over $20,000 (!) helping local clients with utilities.

    Outreach serves those who live in the Stockbridge Community School district. They are located in the Stockbridge Activity Center (old middle school). Their entrance is door #20 off the back parking lot on Cherry Street, just north of Elm Street.     CHELSEA, Mich., (Feb 26, 2020) – The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea will host a free Family-to-Family Educational Program in Chelsea to help parents, friends, and care givers understand and support individuals with serious
    mental illness — such as major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and posttraumatic stress disorder — while maintaining their own wellbeing.

    The Family-to-Family program consists of a series of 12 weekly classes led by a team of trained NAMI volunteers who understand what it is like to have a loved one struggling with a chronic psychiatric condition.

    This course teaches the basics about serious brain disorders and treatments, helps connect families to community resources, and teaches important skills and coping techniques for the difficult journey.

    The Harlem Wizards are coming to Stockbridge Jr/Sr High School Tuesday, March 24th at 6:30pm. The evening promises to be a fun filled event that is great for kids and adults and will guarantee to put a smile on your face! This event is hosted by Stockbridge Athletic Department and Boosters. They have brought The Wizards into town to help benefit the student-athletes of Stockbridge.

    The Harlem Wizards have a unique mission: create awe-inspiring events throughout the country. At a Wizards game, fans will witness amazing basketball talent combined with hilarious comedy. It’s two hours of family time where parents, grandparents, and kids can all laugh together. When you’ re in the stands, you’ re more than a spectator; you’ re part of the show with loads of audience participation. Throughout the game, fans will experience a magical display of tricks, coordinated ball handling, fancy passing and aerodynamic athleticism combined with high-energy comedy and audience interaction. The experience can only be summed up in two words: Awe-Inspiring!

      The First Presbyterian Church of Stockbridge invites you to pick up dinner on Friday, March 27 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. We are located at 101 South Center Street.

      Our church is closed the for the next couple of weeks; however, we will still have the 4th Friday dinner as a takeout. Dinner is free to the community with a Freewill Offering to help Stockbridge Community Outreach.

      Pre-order available: https://forms.gle/qSfZHoeCdqZ13CcT7 or 517-851-7015 until March 26th at noon. Pre-order is not required, as drive-up and walk-up requests will also be taken.

      Drive-thru only (no sit down). The menu is: lasagna, garlic bread, green beans, salad and dessert.
