Cross Country Teams Earn Academic All State Honors

After a successful year on the course, the Stockbridge boys’ and girls’ cross country teams brought home some post season awards with both squads earning Division 3 Academic All State Honors for 2020.

The girls finished in an amazing second place out of 16 teams with a team GPA of 3.9868. They were beat out for the top spot by Grandville Calvin Christian with 3.9894.

Members of the girls’ team include Brianna Hill, Kaitelyn Walker, Brooklyn Rochow, Rylee Tolson, Julianna DeBozy, Peyton Killinger, and Joy Youngblood.

The boys finished 8th out of 16 schools with a team GPA of 3.8172. Grandville Calvin Christian also earned the top spot for the boys with a GPA of 3.9994.

Members of the boys’ team included Dalton Satkowiak, Micah Bolton, Collin Cook, Andy Schlaff, Ben Chapman, Brock Jones, and Jonah Coffman.

Four members of the girls’ team  and three members of the boys’ squad earned individual Academic All State honors.

To earn Academic All State Honors a runner must finish in the top half of all finishers at the state finals and carry a 3.5 GPA or better, or if not finishing in the top half, carry a 3.8 GPA or better.

Brianna Hill, Brooklyn Rochow, Kaitelyn Walker, and Rylee Tolson were named to the Academic All State girls team for 2020.

The boys’ team had Dalton Satkowiak, Micah Bolton, and Brock Jones earn the honors for 2020.
