December Bond Update

by Karl Heidrich

Karl Heidrich, Superintendent of Stockbridge Community Schools

We continue to be pleased with the finishing touches of our building projects and currently have construction-related work scheduled to complete our punch list over Winter break. Our next task is to consider a limited amount of remaining bond dollars for future construction projects with our primary focus on continuing to work toward district efficiencies. Summer 2018 project consideration will likely include energy efficient lighting at all buildings and replacement doors and windows for the original portion of the Junior/Senior High.

Our district is currently up to date with the latest technology across all of our school buildings. With remaining bond dollars earmarked for technology we have created a five year technology replacement schedule. Replacement schedules include chromebook replacements, computer lab stations, teacher stations, and technology infrastructure. We are confident that we will be able to meet future technology needs in the district for several years and are also on task for additional furniture replacement in classrooms at the Junior/Senior High before the end of the school year.

Additionally, our bus replacement schedule continues on track. At the conclusion of the

2018-2019 school year we will have replaced ten of our oldest buses.

Please do not hesitate to call, email, or stop in at anytime with any questions. Have a safe and wonderful Holiday Season.
