Para Para Creamery cheeses, Lake Divide Farm organic produce, Betty’s veggies and fruit, Son-in-Law hot sauces, Beemer honey, Breadzilla breads and pies, Great Lakes Baker chocolates, cookies and cakes, Genei Sugarbush maple syrup, Samuel’s Soaps and Candles, Sue’s Woodworking, Baskets by Kathleen, and Whimsical Art by Carolyn. We have three new vendors joining us with herbal teas, extracts & salves, totes & purses and crocheted items.
Lynn from England will be making British treats for the market May 3 and 10. Zumo Eco Farm pesto and chips will return in June.

St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea to sponsor 30th annual Heart & Sole Run, Walk and Kids Fun Run
CHELSEA, Mich. (March 7, 2019) – St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea will sponsor the 30th annual Heart & Sole Run, Walk and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, May 4 at Chelsea High School. All proceeds from this year’s race will go towards helping expand and enhance the hospital’s tree-lined scenic walking paths with additional routes, lighting and signage. These investments will help sustain the hospital campus as a safe haven for fitness and wellness for future patients and their families.
The Heart & Sole race will offer several options for this year’s participants including a 2 mile run/walk and a 5K run/walk. Both are walker friendly and the routes are completely paved. There will also be a 10k run on a new paved route, and a family-friendly kids fun run. All races begin and finish in the Chelsea High School parking lot, located just off of Trinkle Rd. in Chelsea.
Start Times:
· 8:15 a.m. – Kids Fun Run
· 8:30 a.m. – 10k and 5k
· 9:00 a.m. – 2 Mile
Online registration for the race is currently open at www.chelseaheartandsole.org. For most races, the registration fee for adults (14 years+) is $27 and $15 for youths (13 years and under). Any child participating in the Kids Fun Run (10 and under) is only $12. A late fee will be accessed for adult registrations received after 11 p.m. on May 1.
The Plainfield United Methodist Church will be serving a Chicken and Biscuit Supper on May 4 beginning at 5 p.m. at 17845 M-36, north of Gregory. Free will donation. Take out available. All are welcomed. For more information contact Kate Humrich at 517-851-8932.

CHELSEA, Mich. (April 2, 2019) – This spring, St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea will host a “Minding Your Health Series,” which includes three educational programs aimed at improving mental health in the community. These events are free and open to the public. All classes will be held inside the Chelsea Wellness Center, located at 14800 E. Old US Hwy. 12 in Chelsea. Japanese-American Experience: the internment camps of World War II. Help us mark Asian-Pacific Heritage Month with this presentation of how Japanese-Americans endeavored to make their lives as “normal” as possible while imprisoned. Presented by Carlos Villegas-Castaneda. Mr. Villegas-Castaneda is an instructor of Spanish language, literature and culture at Adrian College. Wednesday, May 8 • 4 – 5 p.m.
Kids Read to Oliver (Ages 6 & up) Kids will enjoy reading aloud to a specially trained golden retriever. Wednesdays, March 13, April 10, May 8 • 6–6:30 p.m.

Week two of the Market was buzzing even in the cool weather, so look out when it finally warms up this week for the Annual Community Garage Sale and Open Air Market. Unadilla and Stockbridge Townships are hosting a joint spring clean-up day Saturday May 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Unadilla Township Hall, 126 Webb Street, Gregory. All from both Townships are welcome to bring furniture, mattresses, stoves, washers, dryers, laptops, monitors, scrap metal and tires.
