Join us in raising funds for the Hannah Glair Memorial 4-H Award fund. All profits will go to this annual award given to members of Ingham County 4-H and exhibiting at the Ingham County Fair. Hannah shared her enthusiasm and knowledge about her 4-H projects with Ingham County Fair attendees. This willingness to share enthusiasm and knowledge with Fair attendees will be a portion of the recipient’s selection process. So please be sure to mark your calendar for this fun and important event.

A free workshop, Legal Tips for a Caregiver’s Toolbox, will be presented at the Monroe Center for Healthy Aging, 15275 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, MI 48161 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm on Saturday, July 20. Caregivers seeking information on the differences and responsibilities of power of attorney, finances, conservatorship, guardianship and other important issues are encourages to attend. Our next general meeting is Tuesday, July 23, when we will welcome Dennis Skupinski from the Michigan Military Heritage Museum in Grass Lake, who will speak on the topic “Michigan in World War I: Stories of the Michigan Homefront.” Dennis will share the stories of 20 people who had an impact on Michigan and the war, from engineering and manufacturing to the peace movement and many other aspects. Come at 6:30 for coffee and refreshments, with the presentation starting at 7! As always, this will be in the lower level of the historic Stockbridge Township Hall.
