Lady Panthers Move in to First Place Tie in GLAC

A showdown between two of the top teams in the GLAC turned into a one-sided affair as the Stockbridge girls rolled past Lakewood 46-28 Friday night.

Stockbridge and Lakewood were tied for second at 3-1 in the GLAC with the winner moving into a first-place tie with Olivet.

The Panther defense was stifling early, holding the Vikings to just seven first-half points to take an 18-7 lead at the half.

Stockbridge would continue to pour it on in the third, outscoring Lakewood 13-7 and pushing the lead to 31-14 after three.

The Panthers would get the lead to over 20 before the Vikings hit a few baskets late.

Gracee Robidou had a big night with three triples and a team-high 18 points.

Taylor Lockhart had a strong game with 10 points and eight rebounds for the Panthers. Alaina Kellenberger chipped in with eight points and 10 boards, while Maddie Dalton had nine points, five rebounds, and four assists. Taylor Asquith grabbed eight rebounds and scored one point.

The win improved the Panthers to 4-1 into a first-place tie with Olivet. Stockbridge hosts Olivet Thursday night at 7:00 PM in a showdown for the top spot in the conference.
