Lady Panthers Pull Away From Stingy Lakewood

The Stockbridge girls’ basketball team made it five straight wins after pulling away from Lakewood for a 66-49 win Monday night.

Lakewood was hot from three early in the game and held tight with the Panthers throughout the first half.

Stockbridge lead 17-14 after one quarter thanks to ten first period points from Gwen Rogozinski and five from Kaylee Dalton.

The Vikings made four first half triples to keep things interesting,  but 10 more points from Rogozinski in the secomnd kept the Panthers in the lead at 32-28 at the half.

Grace Hall scored four in the third as the Panthers continued to struggle with Lakewood with a 45-38 lead after three.

Stockbridge finally pulled away in the fourth by outscoring Lakewood 21-11 for the 17-point win.

Rogozinski scored 11 points in the fourth and finished with 31 points to lead the Panthers.

Chelsey Asquith scored five in the fourth to help push the Panthers lead to double-digits.

Dalton finished with 11 points, Asquith nine points, Hall with six, Brooklyn Rochow five, and Madison Mazuca four.

The JV girls pulled away in the second half to defeat Lakewood 63-33 Tuesday night.

Alaina Kellenberger led Stockbridge with 20 points, while Maddie Dalton had 14 points and eight assists. Gracee Robidou eight points and eight assists, while Taylor Lockhart added six points anf our steals. Julianna Debozy finished with five points, Kayla Surline four, Brooklyn Rochow four, and Grace Burg two points.
