Paul Edison Williams, of Stockbridge, Michigan, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was born on September 13, 1937, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, the son of Ernest and Opal (Dyer) Williams. Paul worked for the railroad most of his adult life. He was a skilled mechanic and fabricator. In his spare time he loved fishing, camping, hunting, and his grandchildren.
On July 9, 1960, he married his soulmate, Pauline Craft, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Neal (Arlene) Williams and Timothy (Marsha) Williams, both of Stockbridge; three brothers: Densel (Judy) Williams of Jackson, Edsel Williams, and Adrian (Sharon) Williams of Stockbridge; five sisters: Wilma Jean Fletcher, DeEtta (Joe) Kelly of Stockbridge, Sue Bradley of Mason, Lena (Tom) Nottingham of California, and Delores Williams of Arizona; three precious grandchildren: Heather Williams of Mason, Paul Lee Williams of Gregory, and Whitney Williams of Ann Arbor; and many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Doug M. Williams and Odus Williams.
When we remember Paul, we will think of his kind heart, honesty, integrity, and strong work ethic. Paul was a very unique man who will be missed.
We will celebrate Paul’s extraordinary life with Visitation at Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge, on Tuesday, April 11, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, with Pastor Jeff Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Stockbridge. Expressions of sympathy may be made to SAESA.
