Stockbridge Police responded to the following complaints this week:

11/28/18, 12 am:  Traffic stop near Main and Clinton for expired plates.  Upon contact with the driver and his passenger, Stockbridge police discovered the passenger had a warrant for his arrest.  Thomas Klein, 28, of Stockbridge was arrested and lodged in the Ingham County Jail for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant.  

           11:30 am:   Stolen vehicle complaint in the 200 block of S. Clinton.  Police responded and made contact with the complainant, a 32-yr-old South Lyon man, who stated that a man he knows through his ex-girlfriend, whom he was riding with this day; took his vehicle while he went into the store.  Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle was registered to his ex-girlfriend and the man riding with him, whom he was taking home from a motel in Howell to Gregory; was a Heroin addict.  The vehicle was later discovered in a parking lot in Pinckney and towed.  Inside the vehicle was drug paraphernalia.  The owner of the vehicle was interviewed and stated that she told her drug addict friend, a 41-yr-old Howell man, to take the plate off the vehicle and he instead took the whole car.  This complaint was unfounded as civil and drug related.  No charges filed.

12/3/18, 5:45 pm:  Assisted Ingham Co. Sheriffs Department. at Dexter Trail and N. Main St. with a one-car crash with a deer.  Minor damage and no injuries to the driver.

12/4/18, 5:05 pm:  Assisted Ingham Co. Sheriff Dept.. in the 4600 block of Freiermuth Rd. with a possible B&E in progress.  The suspect was gone upon arrival.  The house checked secure.  Suspect information given to Ingham County Sheriff.

12/5/18, 11 am:  Lock-out service Main and Center.

12/6/18, 12:30 pm:  Traffic crash in the 500 block of W. Main St.  A vehicle driven by a 71-yr-old Stockbridge man was rear ended by a 20-yr-old Lansing man.  Minor injuries reported.  The vehicle struck from behind was a total loss.  The young man was cited.

12/13/18, 2:25 pm:  Hold-up alarm in the 600 block of W. Main St.  Unfounded.  Occupant error.

                8:25 pm:  Traffic stop at Clinton and Morton for expired plates.  Upon contact with the driver, a 28-yr-old Beverly Hills, MI. woman, it was confirmed the vehicle had not been properly registered.  The plate was confiscated and destroyed.  The driver was cited and released.

               2 pm:  Criminal sexual conduct complaint involving juveniles.  Location and names withheld.  This complaint is under investigation.

               7:05 pm:  Suspicious subjects complaint in the 600 block of W. Main St.  An employee reported that two men came into the store and threatened to harm her but made no attempt to do anything and were laughing while inside the establishment.  The two left after two male witnesses were also present.  No crime.

12/15/18, 8 pm:  One-car crash at Morton and M-52.  Stockbridge police responded to a report of a car that failed to negotiate the curve and left the roadway and crashed into the wooded area.  No injuries but the vehicle was a total loss.  The man stated he was fatigued.
