Police Blotter from Chief Johnnie Torres Jr.

Stockbridge Police responded to the following complaints this week:

04/21/18, 6:33 pm:  Police assisted SAESA in the 500 block of Cherry for an elderly man who had fallen.

4/22/18, 12:20 am:  Traffic stop on M-52/Green Rd. for speeding.  Upon contact with the driver, a 27-yr-old Grand Ledge man, it was discovered that he was operating under the influence.  He was later arrested and lodged in the Ingham Co. Jail.  

      4:25 pm:  Domestic complaint in the 200 block of Mills Ave.  No crime.  

4/23/18, 5:10 pm:  Property damage crash in the 100 block of S. Center St.  No injuries reported.

4/25/18, 4:20 pm:  Personal injury crash involving a pedestrian at Clinton and Main.  A 10-yr-old Stockbridge boy ran into the path of a vehicle turning left onto westbound M-52.  The boy suffered a fractured leg.

      10:30 pm:  Hold-up alarm in the 4600 block of S. M-52. Police responded and found the alarm was false.

4/26/18, 8:22 pm:  Trouble with subject complaint in the 300 block of W. Main St.  Stockbridge police responded and found a 25-yr-old Jackson woman acting strangle and disorderly.  She was advised to leave.  No charges filed.

4/27/18, 8 am:  Illegal dumping complaint in the 4900 block of Byrd Dr.  The complainant was able to obtain a plate of the suspect vehicle.  Police made contact with the 29-yr-old Stockbridge man at his residence in Stockbridge Twp.  The victim did not wish to prosecute.

5/1/18, 5:15 pm:  Hit and run property damage crash in the 400  block of N. Clinton.  Minor damage reported.

5/2/18, 2 pm:  Larceny complaint in the 600 block of S. Williams.  This is under investigation.  

      4:05 pm:  Minor property damage crash at Clinton and Vernal.  A 69-yr-old Ann Arbor woman slowed for kids crossing the road and was rear-ended by a 29-yr-old Stockbridge woman.  Minor damage, no injuries reported.

     9:45 pm:  Burglary alarm in the 4500 block of S. M-52.  Stockbridge police responded and found the building secure.

5/3/18, 4:10 pm:  Larceny of gas in the 4600 block of S. M-52.  This is under investigation.

      8:50 pm:  One-car private property crash in the 200 block of S. Clinton.  Minor damage, no injuries.

5/5/18, 12:45 pm:  Property damage crash at West and Price.  A 78-yr-old Michigan Center man was struck by an 80-yr-old Kalamazoo woman.  Minor damage, no injuries reported.

      7:10 pm:  Misdemeanor warrant arrest at M-52 and S. Center.  A 60-yr-old Leslie woman was arrested byStockbridge police following a traffic stop.  She was later turned over to the Ingham Co. Sheriff’s Department for lodging.  

      9:30 pm:  Assisted Ingham County  Sheriff with a citizen assist in the 5100 block of M-106 after it was reported that a woman was walking in the road.  The citizen was found to be secure.

5/7/18, 5:10 pm:  Burglary alarm in the 100 block of W. Main St.  Police responded and found the building secure.

5/9/18, 8 am:  Malicious destruction of property discovered in the 600 block of S. Williams.  Police were assisted by Michigan State Police.  The accused was identified and later confessed to the crime.  Criminal charges are pending. 

     2:15 pm:  Assist SAESA in the 400 block of S. Water St.
