8/28/2017 4:25 pm: Stockbridge Police received a call from the Smith Elementary Principal stating that a 7-yr-old student was missing from the building. He also stated that he and other staff were currently looking for the student. Police responded and assisted in searching for the student. A teacher at Smith Elementary found the missing student near Main Street and Williams Street. The teacher stated that the child told her that she was going to walk home but could not remember how to get there.

9/02/2017 12:50 am: Stockbridge Police conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of S. Clinton on a vehicle for having illegal blue lights activated on the vehicle. The driver, a 38 yrs old Jackson resident, was found to be in possession of marijuana. The marijuana was confiscated and the driver was cited for the marijuana then released.

9/02/2017 5:55 pm: Stockbridge Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Main Street near West Street for speeding. The driver, a 34 yrs old Stockbridge Township resident, was found to be driving while her license was suspended. Police issued the driver a misdemeanor citation for Driving While Under the influence. License suspended. Then turned her and her vehicle over to a licensed driver.
