Stockbridge Police responded to the following complaints this week:
8/4/17, 3:15 pm: Two-car crash in the 300 block of W. Main St. A 63-yr-old man rear-ended a 47-yr-old man, both of Jackson as he stopped to wait for another vehicle to turn into a driveway. No injuries were reported and there was minor damage to the vehicles.
9:30 pm: Traffic stop near S. M-52 and Green Rd. for defective equipment (broken taillight). Stockbridge Police Department made contact with the driver, a 31-yr-old Pleasant Lake man and his passenger, and immediately smelled the odor of Marijuana. The driver refused to roll down his window more than a few inches, but did admit to illegally possessing the drug as he did not have a medical marijuana card. A small amount of Marijuana was seized by police along with paraphernalia. The man was cited for using Marijuana and eventually released pending a warrant.
8/7/17, 8:40 pm: Assist Ingham Co. Sheriff’s Department with a medical call in the 5300 block of Shepper Rd. where the mother of a juvenile called to report that she believed her daughter may be having an adverse reaction to synthetic marijuana. Stockbridge Police Department responded with SAESA and made contact at the home. The juvenile denied using any drugs and did not appear to be under the influence however she was attended to by the medics.
9 pm: Citizen assist in the 400 block of S. Center St. Stockbridge Police Department was called to a home to assist an elderly woman whose basement was flooding due to a broken water pipe. Police turned off the valve for the woman.
8/8/17, 1 am: Stockbridge Police Department checked two subjects inside a vehicle in the 800 block of S. Clinton. Upon making contact, police discovered open alcohol inside the vehicle. The 41-yr-old Stockbridge man and the 37-yr-old Leslie woman were both cited and released.
