Police Blotter

Stockbridge Police responded to the following complaints this week:

05/15/18, 9:40 pm:  Assist Ingham Co. Sheriff in the 5300 block of S. M-52 with a lost child. Stockbridge Police responded to a report of a 5-yr-old child walking down M-52 and to a nearby warehouse where the child informed workers that her mother could not be located.  Police were able to determine where the child lived and contact was made with the 26-yr-old Stockbridge woman who was found to be asleep.  The child was unharmed.  A referral for additional governmental services was made by the Stockbridge Police Department.  No criminal charges.

5/17/18, 3:30 pm:  Possible threats complaint in the 400 block of N. Clinton.  Stockbridge were contacted in reference to some statements that were made indicating a possible threat of violence.  The juvenile involved was interviewed as well as witnesses and the complaint was unfounded.  No crime.  

5/19/18, 4:35 pm:  Traffic stop in the 300 block of W. Main St. for speeding.  Upon contact with the driver, a 56-yr-old man from Indiana, the officer smelled an odor of marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle.  A subsequent search of the vehicle produced a usable amount of the drug.  The driver was tested for sobriety and then issued an appearance summons and the drugs were seized.  

5/21/18, 9 am:  Missing person complaint at the Stockbridge Police Department.  A local woman wanted to report her husband missing and advised that he had been missing for over 12 hrs and was making statements that led her to believe he may harm himself.  The man was later found in Stockbridge unharmed and advised that he did not intend to do any harm to himself.  Complaint unfounded.

5/24/18, 7:40 pm:  Assist Ingham County Sheriff on a 911 hang up call in the 2500 block of Turning Plow.  Police found everything was fine.  Unknown who called.
