Quick Start Lifts Panthers to 3-0 in the GLAC

A big first quarter lifted the Stockbridge basketball team o a 66-49 win over Lakewood and improved the Panthers record to 3-0 in the GLAC.

Stockbridge dominated the first quarter as Jeremy Pilch (9) and Drew Philipp (6) combined for 15 points as the Panthers outscored the Vikings 19-6 in the first.

The Panthers could not pull away from Lakewood, but they were able to keep them at bay for most of the night. They led 29-17 at the break and 39-26 after three.

The highlight of the night came in the second half when Noah Robidou picked off a steal and raced down court for a breakaway two-handed slam that made the crowd and bench erupt.

Pilch finished with 22 points to lead the Panthers to the win.

Philipp added ten points, while Robidou finished with seven. Brock Jones and David Kluesher scored four each, while Josh Casey and Dann Mahler each scored two.
