School Surplus/Salvage Sale

By Patrice Johnson

A light but steady stream of inquisitive shoppers filtered through the doors of the Old Middle School over the weekend of December 16-17. The Stockbridge Community Education was holding its final School Surplus/Salvage sale.

Jo Mayer was on hand to greet visitors and answer questions. “Sometimes we have one item like a table on display with dozens like it available in the back,” she said. “If prices aren’t marked, we have a price list, or feel free to make an offer.” Tables on wheels, tall ones, short ones, wide and slim ones—all ranged in price from $2 to $10. Chairs? $5. Pre-school toys? Take your pick.

“Everything must go and buyers should be prepared to take their purchases with them,” the flyer read.

Changes are afoot and rumors rampant. Stay tuned to stockbridgecommunitynews.com for up-to-the-minute announcements.
