Volleyball Falls in Five in Opener

The Stockbridge volleyball team finally got back on the court last week as the Panthers traveled to Olivet for the season opener Thursday, September 10.

The Panthers battled hard, but came home with a tough five-set loss to the Eagles 14-25; 25-21; 25-17; 15-25; 12-15.

Stockbridge took an 8-5 lead in the deciding set, but it wasn’t enough as Olivet rallied to pull out the win.

Grace Hall had a big night, leading the Panthers in three categories. She recorded 14 kills, 16 digs, and 19 service points.

Madison Mazuca dished out 15 assists to lead the offense. Arin Szuminki chipped in with 15 digs and 13 points, while Maggie Jones added four kills.
