Help Stockbridge Area Wellness Coalition recognize people in our community who exhibit exemplary behavior in one–or more–of our areas of focus: Moving More, Eat Better, Connect with Others or Avoid Unhealthy Substances. Residents of Stockbridge School District will nominate individuals who live or work in the community, and four winners and their nominators will receive a $100 cash prize that can be awarded to the non-profit organization of their choosing. The winners of each category–and their nominators–will also receive a T-shirt and other nominal prizes. Nomination forms can be found in the schools and around town and also on our webpage and Facebook page.

Nov. 1 – 30, during open hours.

The Friends of the Library will conduct its annual silent auction throughout the month of November, all day, every day during open hours. Bid on items & take away a bargain. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Stockbridge Branch Library.

This is the time of year for reflecting on all the things we are thankful for. We are incredibly thankful for all our members! As the weather gets colder, come on in. Join the Turkey Burn and get fit and healthy.

Earn a Turkey Feather for every 5 days you work out at the center in November. Receive a free T-shirt after 10 work outs. The feathers you earn will be entered in a drawing with a chance to win a free month of membership dues. Stop by the Fitness Desk for details or call 517.851.4486

Wednesdays, Nov. 2 – Dec. 28 11 am – 12 pm

Connect with other community members on Wednesday mornings. Talk about local events, favorite books or movies, new reads, or whatever comes up. Refreshments served.

SHS Jazz Band and 8-8 grade band fall concert. November 2 at SHS Cafeteria.

First and Third Thursdays Nov. 3, 17, Dec 1, 15

Kids help pick out a story to hear for inspiration and then get creative with our LEGO collection! Imaginative play helps develop skills used for reading and for life.

Coalition meetings are open to anyone, youth (ages 10+) or adults interested to participate, contribute and learn about how we are preventing youth substance abuse in Stockbridge. Dinner will be provided.

Thursdays, 6-7 pm. Room 108. Old Middle School.
