SAESA Sale Update
by Hope Salyer
Stockbridge Area Emergency Services Authority General Manager John Beck responded to a FOIA request by the Stockbridge Community News on May 1 following the earlier article on the sale of the Old Ford Dealership.
Per documents obtained from the FOIA request, SAESA purchased the building for $1,250,000 on March 5, 2018.
Stockbridge Community News also received a comment from former Stockbridge Village President, Tom Wallace, stating, “The Village does not own either of the buildings that SAESA is housed in.” Beck had previously stated in the original interview that the Village owned the two buildings SAESA is currently housed in.
A request to the Village clerk, Debbie Nogel, confirmed the Village does not own the buildings. According to Nogel, Stockbridge Township owns the buildings.
