Heritage Spelling Bee

Nikki Myers, 6th grade social studies teacher organized a spelling bee at Heritage on Jan. 16. Thirty students participated in grades 3rd through 6th. The pronouncer was Rachel Buchanan from Home.fm radio station in Spring Arbor. The three judges were Jim Kelly, Kary Gee, and Cindy Lance.
Our winners from left to right were:
3rd Grade-Allie Dalton
4th Grade-Dana Moody
5th Grade-Cooper Ruehs
6th Grade-Eliana Johnson
Cooper and Eliana will compete in the Mlive Jackson Citizen Patriot Spelling Bee on March 19 at Western Community Arts Center, 1400 S. Dearing Road, Parma, starting at 6:00 p.m. Remember to wish them well if you see them.
