Shorter days and cooler weather means summer is changing to autumn. The human experience also includes seasons or times of personal growth, so here’s something to think about. What does it look like to be you, the whole Shebang? Knowing who you are is important.
Many let themselves be defined by what others tell them. This is wrong. God’s desire is that we discover who we are by knowing His word, or to put it more secularly, we are each an island and we have to live our own lives. Living authentically and being genuine and true to His word or to ourselves is a lifestyle. It requires maintenance and strength and is far from effortless. However, the results are everything we could desire.
So each of us should keep in mind our unique journey and how delightful it could be as we discover our purpose and direction. Being in charge and giving ourselves self-respect and dignity may feel unusual at first. But the outcome is incredible.
