by Cindy Lance
This months spotlight shines on Smith Elementary 2nd grader Annabelle Wilburn. Terri Grant, her 1st grade teacher put forth the nomination and stated “Annabelle is always a perfect model of Smith Panther Pride. She is very respectful of others, makes wise choices and is a dedicated student, always eager to learn . She is a friend to all students and does her best consistently!” Current teacher Laura Whitaker views Annabelle as “a student you can always count on. She is the first to offer help to her classmates and is always kind and gracious. Other students look to her as a leader, and she sets a fine example of what Panther Pride looks like. I have really enjoyed having Annabelle in my class!”
The youngest daughter of Joey and Kaitlyn Porter, her family is the most important thing to her. Her most recent accomplishment? Safety Patrol. Annabelle enjoys drawing, singing, dance, art and playing outside! Annabelle aspires to be a Principal one day.
