Fast Start Lifts Panthers Past Perry

The Stockbridge football team used a big first half to roll to a 38-13 GLAC win over Perry Friday night.

The Panthers scored 31 first half points on its way to the rout over the Panthers.

Drew Philipp connected with Jeremy Pilch for a 19-yard TD and a 6-0 first quarter lead. Kevin Killinger then scooped up a fumble and returned it 23 yards to pay dirt for a 12-0 lead after one.

The second quarter saw Josh Dishneau score from a yard out and Killinger rumble 40 yards to make it 25-0 in the second.

Perry got on the board with a 65-yard TD run, but the Panthers answered when Philipp hit Pilch with a 17-yard scoring pass for a 31-6 lead at the half.

Drew Robinson scooped up a fumble and returned it five yards for a score to make it 38-6.

Perry would add a 28 yard TD pass to cut the leas to 38-13 but would get no closer.

Philipp had a big night going 11-15 passing for 154 yards and two scores and rushed for 89 yards on 15 carries.

Killinger rushed for 120 yards on nine carries and a TD, while Dishneau had 38 yards on six carries and a score, and Robinson 33 yards on eight carries.

Noah Robidou caught six passes for 74 yards, Pilch three for 47 and two TDs’, Killinger one for 18 , and Spencer McLellan one for 15.

The Panthers improved to 2-2 overall on the season.
