Unadilla Glass Company opens its doors in Downtown Stockbridge
by Mary Jo David
A new glass company has moved into Downtown Stockbridge. Kevin Adkins and his wife, Wendy Sabo, are the proprietors of Unadilla Glass Company LLC, which officially opened its doors at 123 W. Main Street on Oct. 1 this year.
“Kevin grew up right near here in Gregory,” said Sabo who is from nearby Howell. “He worked with a family friend doing glass repair and installation in the past, so we decided it was time for us to start out on this new adventure of our own.”
The company specializes in glass replacement for windows and doorwalls, custom shower doors, glass block window installation—basically any kind of residential custom glass. They serve a wide swath of Southeastern Michigan, but have been known to go farther.
Reminding residents about getting ready for winter, Sabo suggested, “Check your windows for broken glass or broken seals in the glass. The best way to know if a seal is broken is if you’re seeing condensation between the windows or if the window is fogging up.”
Unadilla Glass Company is family owned and operated, and Adkins and Sabo are excited to be a part of the Stockbridge Community. They’re looking forward to expanding their involvement in the community.
