Panthers Shut Down Fowlerville
The girls’ basketball team snapped a two-game skid in strong fashion last week by taking down Fowlerville 34-20.
The Panthers held the Gladiators to just 12 points over the final three quarters as they pulled away for the win.
Taylor Lockhart scored the first five points of the game to boost the Panthers to a 10-8 lead after one, when the defense locked down on the Glads.
Alaina Kellenberger became a force for the Panthers in the second by putting eight points on the board to give her 11 for the half as Stockbridge took a 21-11 lead at the break.
Both teams struggled in the third with each scoring just four points and the Panthers holding a 25-25 lead after three.
Kellenberger finished off her big night with eight points in the fourth quarter to help the Panthers pull away for the win. She would finish with a team-high 23 points for the Panthers.
Lockhart was a force on the boards with a team-high 15 rebounds and scored six points. Maddie Dalton finished with four points and Gracee Robidou one.
