WAVE hello to convenience for getting around our community

Students in the Stockbridge community have a new alternative transportation opportunity that was recently shared during the last Stockbridge Wellness Coalition meeting. WAVE (Western Washtenaw Area Value Express) has extended its services to students in the Stockbridge School District. Starting immediately, if your child misses the school bus and you find yourself without transportation, WAVE is here to help. For just $0.50 each way, students can receive transportation directly to school. And yes, you can call the day you need the service.

Additionally, WAVE provides nonstudent services within its coverage area for $1 each way and for $5 for destinations outside of the area. This means that families can easily access essential services, whether it’s getting to school, a doctor’s appointment, or the grocery store.
