Two Stockbridge residents among 250 crafters and artists at Saline Craft Show

Information provided by Saline Area Schools

On Nov. 8, crafters from 14 states and 168 Michigan cities will come together at the annual Saline Craft Show at Saline Middle School.

Vendors will display their recent work in decorative painting, stoneware, rugs, birdhouses, holiday decorations, ceramics and more. The show provides both crafts and art, from the latest in shabby chic to handmade furniture and hand-painted clothing. All artists will be present and available to customize and personalize their work. Thirty-three crafters will be new this year.

The show is a favorite for a few Stockbridge craft vendors. Stockbridge resident Dorene Palmeiri will be selling her charm jewelry and pendants, which she assembles on neck chains and cords.

The one-day holiday extravaganza, now in its 38th year, opens at 8 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. at Saline Middle School, 7190 N. Maple Road, Saline. Admission is $5, cash only. Children ages 10 and younger will be admitted free of charge. No strollers, please.
This craft show was rated fourth in the nation and one of the top 10 in Michigan, according to Sunshine Artist 2024.
Last year, the show drew over 230 crafters and more than 10,000 visitors. Longtime attendee Michelle Federer, of Midland, Michigan, travels several hours to get to the show. She called it a “top-notch shopping experience.”

“We are always amazed by everything about this show. The crafters and artists are world class,” she said. “They offer a variety of products, mediums, and price points to appeal to everyone.” Federer also enjoys the shuttle service, bag-holding area and cafeteria.

Throughout the show, Saline High School students will help at a concession stand, bake sale and in other areas. The student representatives earn money for their athletic teams, choral groups and extracurricular activities. They also promote citizenship, practice life skills and learn about leadership.
Show entry parking for GPS is 530 Woodland Drive East. Free shuttle bus service will be available from Forvia (formerly Visteon), designated local businesses and schools. Saline Central Campus has available free parking spaces that are completely handicapped accessible.

The school is easy to find and located within the city limits. Directions: Take Exit 34 from US-23, 6 miles west on US-12, north on Maple, or Exit 175 from I-94, 1 mile south on Ann Arbor-Saline Road, 4 miles south on Maple.
