Bowling Teams Split GLAC Matches

The Stockbridge bowling teams kicked off their season with a pair of GLAC matches this week.

The Lady Panthers opened by beating Perry 28-2, while the boys/girls team fell to Perry 28-2.

The girls won both Baker games with scores of 158 and 106 against Perry. A Baker game consists of each bowler on the team taking a turn  bowling a frame.

The Panthers then won eight of 10 singles matches.

Madison Aiken led Stockbridge with games of 160 and 124, while Ashley Blanzy shot 128 and 107. Julie Rooke rolled games of 115 and 87, Ivori Hufnagel 98 and 78, and Mahayla Nielson 67 and 54.

There are only three boys competing this year so the Panthers have two girls on the squad to fill the team.

Justin Jaszkowski led the Panthers with game of 124 and 98. Tyler Gipson rolled 86 and 77, Trevor Poole 92 and 86, Madison Gipe 79 and 73, and Alexandria Teachout 104 and 80.

The boys/girls fell to Lakewood 25-5

They split the Baker matches with game of 124 and 108 against the Vikings, but won just one singles match out of 10.

Blanzy rolled games of 176 and 138 to lead the Panthers, while Aiken shot 135 and 127. Jaszkowski shot 120-111, Gipson 107-103, and Poole 102-76.

Both teams dropped 30-0 decisions to strong Olivet teams.

Blanzy led the girls with games of 162 and 147. Aiken shot 121- 114, Hufnagel 123-109, Teresa Rooney 103, Rooke 120-100, and Nielson 83.

Jaszkowski rolled 135-115, while Gipson shot 127-98 to lead the Panthers. Poole rolled 121-85, Gipe 84-77, and Teachout 81-67.
