Boys 2nd, Girls 4th at Marshall Barney Roy XC Invite
The boys and girls’ cross country teams had strong showings at Marshall’s Barney Roy Invitational Thursday.
The Panther boys finished 2nd out seven teams at the event. They finished just three points behind first place Parma Western. Parma finished with 45 points, while Stockbridge had 48. GLAC rival Olivet was third with 65.
Dalton Satkowiak led Stockbridge with a 4th place finish in 17:55.
Ryan Owen finished eighth in 18:22, while Micah Bolton was 10th in 18:29. Ben Chapman came home 11th in 18:30, Collin Cook 15th in 18:35, Brock Jones 18th in 19:11, and Brendan Wright 30th in 19:42.
The girls finished with 84 points in the race won by Marshall with 52. Parma Western was 2nd with 76 and Olivet 3rd with 82.
Rylee Tolson won the race for the Panthers with a time of 18:34.
Brooklyn Rochow was 10th in 20:33, followed by NBrianna Hill in 19th with a time of 21:59. Kaitelyn Walker finished 25th in 23:02, Julianna Debozy 29th in 23:33, Joy Youngblood 44th in 27:21, and Sidney Gipe 46th in 27:42.
The Panthers will return to action Tuesday with a tri-meet at Hanover Horton.
