Boys’ XC Fifth, Girls Sixth at Greater Lansing Championships
The boys’ and girls’ cross country teams came home with strong finishes in the Division 2 races at the Greater Lansing Cross Country Championships Saturday, October 10.
The Panthers competed in the Division 2 race at the event and the boys came home 5th and the girls 6th. They will be competing in Division 3 at Regionals in two weeks.
The boys finished with 96 points in the race won by Alma with 42. Lansing Catholic Central was second with 63 and Ionia third with 82.
Dalton Satkowiak led Stockbridge with a seventh place finish in 17:35, followed by Micah Bolton 16th in 18:05.
Andy Schlaff was 25th in 18:23, Ben Chapman 26th in 18:25, Collin Cook 27th in 18:34, Jonah Coffman 33rd in 18:58, and Brock Jones 37th in 19:14.
The girls finished with 137 points in the race won by Lansing Catholic with 31.
Rylee Tolson won the race with a time of 18:30 to lead the Panthers.
Brianna Hill was 10th in 21:24, followed by Kaitelyn Walker 27th in 23:48. Joy Youngblood was 46th in 26:16 and Peyton Killinger 53rd in 27:44.
