January 20: Join for free food and fun idea sharing with the Wellness Coalition

by Matt Pegouskie

The Stockbridge Area Wellness Coalition (SAWC) cordially invites those who are residents within the Stockbridge School District to join us for a meet and greet on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 5:30 p.m. at the Stockbridge Village Offices (118 N. Center Street, Stockbridge).

Enjoy free pizza and giveaways as you help the Wellness Coalition look for new project ideas and coalition members.

Over the past 14 years, SAWC and the 5 Healthy Towns Foundation (5HT) have invested almost  $1,000,000—yes, that’s $1 million—in grant money into Stockbridge, Gregory, and Munith for community projects centered on eating better, moving more, and improving mental well-being.

SAWC and 5HT have also been critical partners in regional projects that have resulted in improvements to Mike Levine Lakelands Trail State Park and upgrades to Veterans Memorial Park in Stockbridge.

SAWC is composed of a volunteer, 9-person board, and everyone in the community is welcome to attend meetings, participate or propose projects, and help us make Stockbridge a place where it’s easier to eat well, be active, and find the support you and your families need to be successful.

Have happy, fun holidays, and we will see you on January 20!
