In July 2021, a spontaneous recognition event by the Stockbridge Downtown Development Authority (SDDA) honored C.G. Lantis for his lengthy interim as chair of the Stockbridge Downtown Development Authority (SDDA). Lantis served as SDDA chair from 2011 to 2019.

A lifelong Stockbridge resident, Lantis, along with his sister, Katie Rodgers, owns the Lantis Plaza—commercial rental properties, including storage units on M-106 in Stockbrdige. He is also part owner with Rebecca Dunne of The Auto Shop at Lantis Plaza. CG Lantis represents the fifth generation of his family to reside in Stockbridge, and although he is no longer chair of the SDDA, he considers that organization to be instrumental in Stockbridge.

Says Lantis: “The DDA plays a very important role in the Stockbridge community, not only to assist in developing new business but to help look out for the interests of the businesses and properties that are already part of downtown Stockbridge.”
