Community Calendar

Roll up your sleeves and have fun with hands-on events ranging from cooking to pottery to duct tape creations. We’ll meet every Tuesday afternoon for six weeks. *All sessions require registration at the library or by calling 517-851–7810.

Connect with other community members on Wednesday mornings. Talk about local events, favorite books or movies, new reads, or whatever comes up. Wednesdays, Sept. 6–Dec. 27 • 11 a.m.–12 p.m.

Drop in during our monthly knitting and crocheting circle. Bring a project or some yarn from your stash and find a new pattern to try. All experience levels welcome! Thursdays, Sept. 7, Oct. 5, Nov. 2 & Dec. 7 • 4–7 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 7,  5:00-8:00.   We will present information about the petition to set up an independent commission to draw congressional districts and eliminate gerrymandering in Michigan, which will hopefully be on the 2018 ballot.  We do have petitions available to be signed!

If you would like more info, the Voters Not Politicians website has a link for media and will put you on a newsletter list to provide consistent updates on the progress of the petition, as well as providing background info, copies of the petition language, etc.
