We will be at the First Presbyterian Church of Stockbridge Christian Education (CE) Building, located at 101 S. Center Street in Stockbridge from 11 am to 3 pm this Saturday.

The Presbyterian women will be serving a soup, salad and sandwich luncheon from 11 am to 2 pm. $5 per person. Luncheon proceeds go to Presbyterian Women Mission Projects.

Jazz guitarist, Gary Allen, will perform from Noon to 2 pm.

Market items include local produce, cheese, frozen meats, honey, eggs, jam, chocolates, maple syrup, bread, pies and baked goods. Also, you can buy baskets, art, herbal lotions and sprays and more!

From January through April on the fourth Friday of each month (1/11, 2/28, 3/27, 4/24), come to dinner and the Winter Pantry Market at the Presbyterian Church CE Building. Pantry is open 5:30 to 7 pm. Items include: produce, cheese, meat, maple syrup, honey, eggs, jam, bread, pies, baked goods, etc.

Free informational session scheduled for February 10

CHELSEA, Michigan (Dec. 9, 2019) – St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea, located at 775 S. Main Street in Chelsea, will host a free Diabetes Prevention Program inside the hospital’s Atrium Conference Room on Mondays beginning February 17 from 2 to 3 p.m.  For those interested in learning more, a free informational session will be held on Feb. 10 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the same location.  The program will consist of 16 weekly sessions followed by monthly maintenance sessions.  The Diabetes Prevention Program is intended for anyone at risk of type 2 diabetes.  It will help educate participants on strategies to become more active, control food intake, lose weight, manage stress, think positively and more.

On the 2nd Monday of the month (2/10, 3/9, 4/13, 5/11) starting at 5:00 pm, our Fresh Food Initiative will be delivering fresh produce to low income families in Stockbridge School District. NO ID required, for families or individuals who declare themselves in need of food.

The Men’s Club of St Mary’s Catholic Parish in Pinckney is proudly sponsoring its annual Fish Dinners on Friday evenings during Lent.  The dates are February 28, March 6,13,20, 27 and April 3.  The Parish is located south of M-36 at 10601 Dexter Pinckney Road in Putnam Township.  Our delicious dinner is served from 4:00 to 7:00pm and includes baked or beer battered fried fish, choice of French fries, scalloped or baked potato, beets, coleslaw, homemade macaroni & cheese, cut vegetables, jell-o, homemade rolls & dessert, assorted beverages as well as 3 cheese pizzas for our younger guests. Cost is $11 adults, $10 seniors, $5 children (under age 12) with a family (immediate only) plan available at $37.
