Cross Country Teams Compete at Greater Lansing Invite
The Stockbridge cross country teams took part in the Greater Lansing Invitational Saturday and came home with some strong finishes.
The GLI is different then most invitationals as all teams run together no matter what the school is competing.
The boys finished with a 12th place finish out of 31 schools, while the girls finished 19th out of 29 teams at the event.
Rylee Tolson came home first in the girls race with a time of 18:24.2 to lead the girls in the race that had 220 runners.
Brooklyn Rochow finished 37th in 20:50.4. Anna Ransom came home 150th in 24:13.9, Eliana Johnson 176th in 25:48, and Andrea Borowy 201st in 28:51.9.
The boy’s race featured 231 runners.
Dalton Satkowiak led the Panthers with a 41st place finish in 17:42.3 and Micah Bolton was right behind in 46th in 17:45.3.
Collin Cook was 48th in 17:46.8, Brendan Wright 127th in 19:24.8, DJ Chapman 157th in 20:19, and Brandon Howlett 176th in 21:03.
The Panthers will take part in the GLAC Finals, hosted by Olivet at Turkeyville Tuesday, October 26. Both teams have won the first two GLAC jamborees and can clinch league titles with strong finishes at Turkeyville.
