Cross Country Teams Preparing for Regionals

It has been a busy month of October for the Stockbridge cross country teams as they prepare for the D3 regionals October 26.

The Panthers hosted the Stockbridge Invitational with the boys finishing 20th and the girls 16th.

Ava Vaccaro led the girls with a 62nd-place finish in 22:21 and JayLee Chapman was 72nd in 22:47.7.

Emily Satkowiak was 118th in 26:35.8, Eliana Johnson 120th in 26:53.7, Arabella Allison 132nd in 31:21.7, Ella Hardesty 133rd in 31:38.8, and Kaylee McClellan 137th in 32:41.9.

William Gancer earned a medal with a 13th-place finish in 16:52.4 to lead the boys’ team.

Alex Avis was 113th in 20:21 and Finn Coffman 119th in 20:37.1.

Ethan Bradley was 130th in 21:10.3, Grant Howlett 142nd in 21:43.3, Owen Cipta 167th with a PR of 27:01.3, and Wyatt Okoney 168th in 28:32.6.

Big 8 Jamboree at Quincy

The girls finished fifth at the Big 8 jamboree in Quincy.

Vaccaro was 12th in 22:23.9 and Chapman 13th in 22:51.7.

Satkowiak placed 27th in 25:43.7, Johnson 37th in 27:10.6, Allison 46th in 32:06.4, Hardesty 47th in 32:09.6, and McClellan 48th in 32:12.

Gancer led the way with a third-place finish in 17:46.9.

Avis was 27th in 20:38.1, Coffman 30th in 21:32.4, Howlett 32nd in 22:03.7, Steven Karowich 43rd in 24:30, Okoney 50th in 27:54.8, and Cipta 51st in 29:23.3.

Hudson Invitational

The girls’ had just three runners at the Hudson Invite and did not finish with a team score.

Vaccaro was 29th in 22:47.9, while Chapman was 41st in 23:43.2, and Satkowiak 89th in 27:37.1 for the Panthers.

The boys finished 12th out of 14 schools.

Gancer paced the Panthers with a 12th-place finish in 17:32.8.

Avis was 72nd in 20:56.6, Bradley 87th in 22:15.1, Howlett 93rd in 22:54.6, Karowich 97th in 24:15.9, Cipta 99th in 28:21.9, and Okoney 100th in 29:37.4.

Big 8 Jamboree- Union City

Gancer led the Panthers with a 2nd-place finish in 17:35.1.

Avis was 26th in 21:31, Howlett 34th in 22:53.9, Gavin Suter 39th in 23:43.3, Karowich 42nd in 24:23, and Okoney 49th in 28:50.9.

The girls finished fifth.

Vaccaro led the team with an 8th-place finish in 22:30.4 and Chapman was 16th in 23:40.6.

Satkowiak was 31st in 26:44.3, Allison 42nd in 33:23.1, Hardesty 43rd in 33:30.8, and McClellan 44th in 34:20.
