Cross Country Teams Ready for Regionals

The Stockbridge cross country teams have continued to improve throughout the season and are ready for the Division 3 Regionals this week in hopes of qualifying for the state finals in November.

The Panthers hosted the Stockbridge Invitational September 30^th and the girl’s finished 11^th and the boys 18^th at the annual event.

Freshman Emily Satkowiak led the girls with a 35^th-place finish in 21:36.9 and Jaylee Chapman was right behind in 37^th with a time of 21:42.3.

Ava Vaccaro was 41^st in 21:49.7, Andrea Borowy 110st in 25:40.8, and Kaylee McClellan 126^th in 31:33.3.

All five girls ran season bests with Satkowiak and McClellan setting PR’s at the race.

Ethan Wright led the boys with a 48^th-place finish in 17:50.8 and William Gancer was 50^th in 17:50.8.

Finn Coffman finished 89^th in 19:11.1, Brady Cole 122^nd in 20:41.4, Grant Howlett 125^th in 20:43, and Ethan Bradley 136^th in 22:01.5.

Gancer, Coffman, Howlett, and Bradley all set PR’s at the race.

Jackson Invite

The girls finished 11^th at the Jackson Invitational.

Vaccaro led Stockbridge with a 34^th-place finish in 22:28.2.

Chapman was 42^nd in 22:43.5 and Satkowiak 51^st in 23:02.6. Borowy was 95^th in 26:40.1, Gabrielle Heath 116^th in 33:27.6, McClellan 118^th in 35:21.9, and Ella Hardesty 120^th in 38:39.8.

The boys finished 15^th at Jackson.

Gancer finished 27^th in 17:54 to lead the Panthers.

Wright was 51^st in 18:38.7, Coffman 81^st in 20:02.1, Howlett 121^st in 22:11.3, and Cole 123^rd in 22:40.1.

Perry Tri-Meet

The girls finished second at a Perry tri-meet, beating out the Ramblers and finishing behind Williamston.

Satkowiak paced the Panthers with a fourth-place finish in 22:35.5.

Chapman was fifth in 22:47.7 and Vaccaro sixth in 23:16.1. Borowy finished 17^th in 27:31.1, McClellan 22^nd in 34.24.4, and Hardesty 24^th in 39:27.9.

The boys finished behind both Williamston and Perry.

Gancer led the way with a fifth-place finish in 18L52.2 and Wright was eighth in 19:21.5.

Howlett finished 18^th in 22:16.3, Bradley 19^th in 23:27.6, and Cole 21^st in 24:02.2

Hudson Invite

The girls finished seventh at the Hudson Invite.

Satkowiak finished 26^th in 22”01.6 to lead the Panthers.

Chapman was 31^st in 22:29.5, Vaccaro 36^th in 22:45.1, Borowy 82^nd in 26:46.2, and Eliana Johnson 87^th in 28:38.

The boys would finish 13^th at the race.

Gancer led the Panthers with a 22^nd-place finish in 17:58.7 and Wright 35^th in 18:50.3.

Coffman was 51^st in 19:28.3, Howlett 81^st in 21:09.6, and Cole 89^th in 21:44.1.

Greater Lansing XC Championships

The girls finished 24th out of 30 teams in a race that does not separate teams by school size.

Satkowiak led the team with a 71^st-place finish in 22:13, while Chapman was 86^th in 22:29.8.

Vaccaro finished 133^rd in 23:55.8, Borowy 188^th in 26:40, McClellan 211^th in 34:27.1, and Hardesty 215^th in 37:05.4.

The boys finished 27^th out of 32 teams.

Gancer led the Panthers with a 72^nd-place finish in 18:22.6 and Wright was 100^th in 18:54.8.

Coffman placed 148^th in 20:00, Howlett 199^th in 22:01.6, and Cole 214^th in 23:33.
