Native son Chris Schoenberg to have Discovery Channel broadcast one of his episodes

Full-time woodworking YouTuber Chris Schoenberg from the Stockbridge-Chelsea area will have one of his project videos aired on Cable TV this Friday night, June 8, at 9:30 p.m. EST.

Schoenberg who runs the YouTube Channel, Third Coast Craftsman, was contacted by the Discovery Channel to produce an episode for their affiliate channel Velocity TV, an automotive-related channel and recently created a new series called Velocity Dispatch. Each week the producers plan to feature a different YouTuber doing something automotive-related in a signature style.

Chris Schoenberg, son of Dale and Cindy Schoenberg, grew up in Stockbridge and graduated in 2004. He joined the Air Force after high school and spent four years in Minot, North Dakota as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist. After leaving military service, he worked at Davenport University as the Director of Public Safety while earning a Bachelors Degree in Finance.

Chris recently left his job at Davenport to create woodworking and metalworking content for YouTube full-time.
