Effective Oct. 1, WAVE transportation service no longer available in Stockbridge or Gregory

by Melissa McPherson

Beginning Oct. 1, the WAVE transportation service will no longer be providing services to Ingham and Livingston county, meaning it is no longer a transportation option for Stockbridge or Gregory residents. CATA Rural  provides transportation to Ingham county residents and is expected to provide transportation services in and around Stockbridge, while LETS will provide rides to those living in Livingston County.

As of now, CATA does not travel to Washtenaw or Livingston counties but will, hopefully, work closely with WAVE and LETS to assist residents who have transportation needs. Residents of Ingham county can book a ride with CATA Rural Service by calling (517) 394 2282. Residents of Livingston County should contact LETS at (517) 846-6600.

Look for more detail on local transportation options in future Stockbridge Community News stories.

WAVE: Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express . CATA: Capital Area Transportation Authority. LETS: Livingston Essential Transportation Services
