The Friends of the Leslie Library will host their annual book sale on Monday, April 2nd from 4:00pm to 7:00pm; Tuesday, April 3rd from 2:00pm to 7:00pm; and Wednesday, April 4th from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. There will be a Pre-Sale for "Friends of the Leslie Library" members only on Monday, April 2nd from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Annual Friends memberships will be available at the door - Individual $5.00; Family $10.00; Student $1.00.

The sale will be held in the cafeteria at the Woodworth Elementary School; 212 Pennsylvania Street; Leslie MI. Over 5,000 sorted books plus DVDs, CDs, computer software, games, puzzles and records will be available - Hardcover, DVDs & LPs @ $1.00; Paperbacks, CDs & Puzzles $.50. Wednesday will be "Bag Day" - $2.00 per bag.

Spring Cleaning?? Book donations are welcome!! Good, clean books, puzzles, DVD, & CD can be dropped off at the Leslie Library the week prior to the sale.

Friends of the Leslie Library is a 501(c)3 and proceeds support programs at the Leslie Branch of the Capital Area District Libraries. Like us on FaceBook for the latest news.

Waterloo Village UMC hosts annual Ice Cream Social and Classic Vehicle Show

The Waterloo Village United Methodist Church is hosting its 150th annual Ice Cream Social and Classic Vehicle Show on Saturday, July 13 from 3 to 7 p.m. The church is located within the Village of Waterloo at 8110 Washington St., Grass Lake.

Classic cars, trucks, tractors and motorcycles are welcome! Dinner is a Free Will donation and includes: pulled pork, brats, hot dogs and hamburgers as well as many side dishes. Don’t forget the ice cream and pies for dessert.

There will be a bake sale, horse picket line, face painting, door prizes for kids (while supplies last) and balloon twisting.

Scheduled events include blessings of cars, motorcycles, tractors and horses and the following classic outdoor picnic games: sack race, 3-legged race, water balloon toss & more. See our Facebook page for a complete schedule!

There will be a FREE Magic Show, featuring the Talents of John Dudley beginning at 4:30 p.m.
