SRSLY Stockbridge presents Outdoor Movie Night

Stockbridge Town Square
Address: 125 S Clinton St, Stockbridge, MI 49285, USA

SRSLY members have been planning for months and are excited to announce they are hosting a free showing of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" at 9:00 pm on Saturday, June 15th to conclude the 25th Annual "A Day in the Village" community festival. The movie will be shown outdoors on the lawn of the Stockbridge Town Square. There is no cost or tickets to attend. Concessions will be sold. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on, and get set to enjoy this classic film with family and friends!

Free pre-movie games and activities will start at 7:30 pm on the town square.  Themed stations will include:

  • Juicing Room – balloon dart game
  • Eggdicator – Plinko
  • Inventing Room – slime making station
  • Fizzy Lifting Drinks
  • Wonka Vision Station
  • Oompa Loompa photo board
  • Plus prizes and other fun!

In order to ensure the event runs smoothly, SRSLY is in need of volunteers who can help in a variety of roles. Volunteers are needed for event set-up, supervising activity stations, and to take photos. Please select a volunteer position with a time slot that works best for you using the following link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0a4eabad22a4f58-srsly3

Donations of supplies, refreshments, prizes or cash are all appreciated. If you would like to donate, please call Emily Stewart at (734) 223-9091, or email at info@srslystockbridge.org. Sponsor links will be listed in SRSLY email communications and on SRSLY’s website. During the event, sponsors will be celebrated on a large “thank you" sign and included in announcements. The Open Air Market of Stockbridge began its 10th season on Friday, May 1, on the township square in downtown Stockbridge. We plan to set up each week so that we all can enjoy camaraderie, but still continue reasonable social distancing.

Our vendors will not be right next to each other and booths will be further back from the sidewalk, so that patrons can stand at least six feet apart.

We look forward to again featuring weekly Market Music, beginning June 12, from 5:30 to 7 pm because we need music! For the time being, we will not be putting out our chairs; so, should patrons wish to listen, please keep a safe distance from the musicians and others or take a walk around the square!

Vendors will vary from week-to-week—watch our online ad to see who plans to come each week or check us out on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/OpenAirMarketofStockbridge/.

Remember, food bought from a farmers market has had only a few people touch the product--the vendor/producer and the purchaser.

Our Market is our hometown food source and we always show up—we have a perfect attendance record for our first 9 years—and we aim to achieve that goal in the future!
