Fatal car crash in Unadilla Twp.

On 9-30-2024 at about 2:52 p.m. emergency responders were dispatched to the area of Doyle Rd about one-half mile east of Livermore Rd in Unadilla Township for an injury accident.
It was determined that the driver, 40-year-old Gregory resident, Cheryl Prano, was driving a white GMC Terrain heading east bound. The vehicle drifted off the roadway and struck a large stump. It is believed that the driver was not wearing their safety belt.
Prano was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital by Livingston County Ambulance where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. The Unadilla Township Police and Fire Departments were also assisted on scene by Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, Pinckney Police Department, and the Putnam Township Fire Department.
