Library’s Wednesday hours expand, Wonders series continues
by Head Librarian Sherri McConnell
You asked and we heard you. The Stockbridge Branch is now open until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Now you have more time to pick up a hold, choose a movie, send a fax or play with LEGOs. Our open hours throughout the week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Between Labor Day and Memorial Day, the library will be open Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
If you haven’t visited in a while or want to see the layout before you visit, we’ve added a video tour on our webpage. The video was created by Able Eyes, a company that produces videos for businesses wanting to make members more comfortable in their spaces. You can view it at cadl.org/stockbridge.
The library’s Wednesday Wonders series continues with Lansing Hoops on July 6. It’s not basketball, it’s all about hula-hoop movement with music, so come by to experience a different way to move.
On July 13, staff from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will present a program on the importance of freshwater mussels in the lakes and streams near Stockbridge.
On July 20, a local favorite, the musical duo Gemini will be performing a gentle brand of folk singalong, great for all ages.
Finally, on July 27, take the time to be creative with our tile collage workshop. We’ll have plaster tiles, paper and Mod Podge — you do the rest. If you would like to add a photo to your collage, bring it along. All programs are at 10:30 a.m.
Capital Area District Libraries’ Stockbridge Branch is located at 200 Wood St. For more information, call 517-851-7810 or visit cadl.org.
